We’ve learned the school year in Haiti will continue through the summer due to the late start this year. Great news that the students will be able to have more time to complete their year. Correspondingly we will continue the New Ventures after school program through summer as well. The New Ventures group is currently working to develop their group project plan. Our graduates are skills-building through our Career Pathways program, working on their resumes, cover letters, references, networking, and job applications, although jobs are scarce.

Families continue, as always, to require support and case-management for medical challenges, and we are working to get them the care they need. Inflation continues to be a huge issue in Haiti so we’re working on finding money anywhere we can in the budget to increase food support to families through the rest of this fiscal year ending in June.
