An Update from Children’s Place International on the Status of Their Work in Haiti

An Update from Children’s Place International on the Status of Their Work in Haiti

As many are aware, Haiti is in dire straits right now. With Fiona passing, rain is becoming heavier in the north along with wind. The political crisis and street protests are ongoing. The CPI team provided food to our client families about 10 days ago. Water is difficult to access and is expensive when available, but our client families do have Clorox to clean water for drinking. Public transportation is unavailable to get to the market due to safety and fuel scarcity/cost. Luckily the team is still able to keep up communication with clients, despite ongoing internet and phone issues. Limonad is safer than our other program locations in cities where protests have become violent. We are prepared to respond in any way helpful to best support our team and clients.
