We were excited to recently receive another update from Children’s Place International. The first set of attached photos in this post are before and after photos from a well project that was completed for a client family in Limonad last month. The recipient family includes seven children and a single mom who is HIV-positive. Until now the family has always had to, “walk here and there to get water”.  The client expressed relief that she doesn’t need to depend on anyone now to access water for her children. Our CPI team supervisor notes, “ This well is one of the best gifts that we could have provided to this family.”

The second set of photos are from our New Ventures after school program, which joined our Limonad and Cap-Haitien groups for a summer cooking and baking program, introducing a new recipe and lesson each Monday. During the week pictured, participants learned how to bake cakes. Group members have been very enthusiastic about this novel program idea – having fun while learning and enjoying some delicious treats together. We appreciate CPI’s program facilitators for coming up with program plans to help participants really enjoy their school break.
